Additional information & support for SchoolCO2Web This website is build for additional information and support to join, build and maintain in measuring CO2 data together with other schools in Europe. Because the process is rather new in size and precision, there are ongoing developments in hardware, software and information. We hope to build this place for the latest news, updates and manuals in all related disciplines including links to articles, schools, projects and developments in relation to Education, CarbonDioxide and Climate issues. To all members of schoolCO2web delivering CO2data with Vaisala carboprobe (renewed) Since long time we met some problems and strange behaviour while calibrating/compensating de Vaisala Carboprobes. With the help of Vaisala formulas we had been able to check all values and found differences in theoretical and physical readings. Now we know we did the calibration well but the results are not as expected. No worries...., with help of the raw CO2-data we will be able to rewrite the software and recalculate the older values of last months in the database. But first we have to discover what the exact formulas should be to be used in the Vaisala, so we can let the software do all the compensation itself. It takes some time because many parameters are involved......... The software needs to be completely rewritten, we have reasons to build more options in too like e.g. weatherreadings. The new software is tested now inside CIO, when it is ready we'll let you know. Calibration/compensation for the Vaisala CarboProp is built in the next version of the CO2net-software. As soon the software is ready and tested it will be available for all schools as soon as possible. Before it can work properly all the Vaisala probes have to be re-calibrated in a 2-points calibration in the labs. Because each probe is a little bit different from the other, a file is created during calibration and this file comes with all the Vaisala probe's and is used during carbo-measurements. This same file is used for recalculation of the results so-far in the database and will be used to adjust the data in the future results as well.
We will keep you posted on this support-website during our developments.

We noticed that auto-updates from Microsoft will stop measurements. Some updates will stop the reading of data and others require a reboot. The CO2Net software will be rewritten so that after a reboot the measurements will continue. So, please switch off the autoupdate function and invest some time for updates on regular base. |

Dearest readers, Last month and a half we had to deal with major email problems. As result the CO2-data -sent by email to CIO- had a huge delay in accessability and cannot directly be seen in the statistics. And all the problems are not solved yet, so please be patient for a moment. We apoligize for this delay and hope it will fine again soon! The CO2-team.

Each country has sometimes different settings for keyboard, time and date formats etc. Data cannot be imported into the database if it doesn't meet the standards we have to use. Can you please check your Systemsettings, so that it will fit this standard: 2009-01-23 00:08:00 Thanks for your cooperation. Â |
